After years of development, the shares are held by FDK and Inner Mongolia High-tech proprietary Company. The registered capital is 56 million RMB and the total investment reaches 112 million RMB. FDK CORPORATION holds 94.4% of the equity (FDK CORPORATION accepted the shares of the company from Santoku Corporation on March 1, 2024, and changed the company’s name to BAOTOU FDK CO., LTD in the meantime).
Through years of efforts, the company with excellent product performance, stable supply quality, servicing the leading enterprises in the industry at home and abroad, accumulated a good reputation. Our company was certified to ISO9001: 2000 Quality Management System for the first time in Jan. 2004, ISO14001:2004 Environmental Management System for the first time in Dec. 2005. Obtained the latest version of ISO9001:2015 & ISO14001:2015 certification in June 2017 and was identified as “High-tech Enterprise” by Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in 2009. In 2015, the company was rated as " Enterprise Research and Development center of Autonomous region level " and in 2021, was rated as "autonomous region level science and technology small and medium-sized enterprises".
Based on rich rare earth resources in Baotou as main raw materials and introduces the sophisticated equipment. We have boasted a core competence integrating material supply, technical support and equipment guarantee, with the design capacity 5100 tons / year. The main products of Alloy Manufacturing Department and M alloy Manufacturing Department are AB5 type &A2B7 type hydrogen storage alloy which used as cathode material of nickel-metal hydride battery. Product features including high-capacity, high and low temperature, low self-discharge and power. The products are applicable to NI-MH battery and energy storage equipment which suitable for civilian, medical instruments, instrumentation, industrial supporting, rail transit, vehicle T-box and other applications. At the same time, we also focus on the development and application of hydrogen storage alloys to the field of solid hydrogen storage, and got the approval of end customers. With the rise of hydrogen energy industry, our company has made excellent achievements in the field of solid hydrogen storage, and will make contributions to the hydrogen energy society. SMCO alloy products, made in SMCO Manufacturing Department, include 1-5 series and 2-17 series alloy, are well known for their good temperature characteristics among rare earth permanent magnet alloys. Compared with NdFeB products, SMCO product shows better corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance in high temperature environments (>200℃). And our SmCo alloy products win the market with high quality and stability, are used in high-tech fields such as motors, meters, sensors, refrigerators, engines, magnetic separators, and petro-chemical.
