Release of High Capacity Cylindrical-type Primary Lithium Battery “CR2/3 8LHT” - Respond to various needs by expanding product lineup of long-term storage batteries -

FDK CORPORATION (Tokyo Stock Exchange 2nd Section: Code 6955) will add the High Capacity Cylindrical-type Primary Lithium Battery “CR2/3 8LHT” to its product lineup and will start selling from September 2021. FDK has already commercialized “CR8LHT” (nominal capacity: 2,850mAh) as a High Capacity Cylindrical-type Primary Lithium Battery with low self-discharge rate and long-term storage for smart meter and security applications. In order to provide batteries with optimal capacity that is suitable for applications with low power consumption such as some smart meters, FDK has newly developed “CR2/3 8LHT” (nominal capacity: 1,800mAh) which is 11.5mm shorter than “CR8LHT”. The “CR2/3 8LHT” will make it possible to reduce the size of devices, to improve convenience in the IoT society. In addition, “CR2/3 8LHT” uses a unique resin gasket with excellent heat resistance which is also used in “CR8LHT”, so that “CR2/3 8LHT” can be used for long period of time (*1) for outdoor devices, as well as indoor one. The “CR2/3 8LHT” has been certified by UL (File No. MH13421), a safety standard in the United States. FDK, as a Smart Energy Partner, will continue proposing the efficient use of electric energy with safely and efficiently by assembling advanced technologies.
