Tokyo, Octber 6, 2003 - FDK CORPORATION launches non-isolated point-of-load DC-DC converters "W series", which comprise 72 models in November this year, With electric power efficiency up to 95% at the maximum as a high-efficiency POL (Point of Load) power supply that respond to decentralization of electric equipment.

By utilizing our custom-made power supply know-how, original electronic material technology, CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) technology, and fine printing technology, the multi-layer power inductor which make up heart of converter has attained, and the "W series" were achieved the world's highest level of power efficiency and the world's first converters that have a output current up to 20A in the size.

Moreover, the series comprises 72 models with a lineup of SIP (single in line package) type and SMT (surface mount technology) type, were applied to various power supply systems, such as Servers, Desktop PCs, and Communication apparatuses.

The scheduled time of delivery of SIP type is in December 2003, and the scheduled time of delivery of SMT type is in November 2003. Sample price is $15.00US for the 5A parts, $23.00US for the 10A parts, $27.00US for the 15A parts, and $30.00US for the 20A parts. The Products will be exhibited in "CEATEC JAPAN 2003" beginning October 7, 2003.
